Simply Eloped: Website Creation Project

Project Brief: Simply Eloped Website

Client: Simply Eloped (via Power Digital Marketing)
Role: Full-Stack Developer

Introduction

While working at Power Digital Marketing, I was responsible for rebuilding the marketing website for Simply Eloped. My role involved turning designs created by our internal design team into a fully responsive, high-performing WordPress site that better reflected the client’s evolving brand.

Tools & Technologies

The site was built on WordPress using a custom theme and Gulp to manage and automate development tasks. The stack focused on performance, maintainability, and efficient front-end workflows, without the use of utility frameworks like Tailwind CSS. Advanced Custom Fields were used to give the client and the PDM team the ability to edit content easily throughout the site.

Outcome

I collaborated closely with both the client’s team and internal stakeholders to maintain clear communication throughout the project. This included working with their third-party development team to integrate API data seamlessly into the site. I was responsible for building out the backend, revamping the destination flow funnel, and contributing to a measurable increase in form submissions. After development was complete, I took ownership of launching the site, ensuring a smooth transition from the old platform. The new site delivered significantly improved speed and usability, outperforming the previous version and providing a better overall experience for users.
